Airdale Primary School, situated in the regional township of Port Pirie, has a strong focus on learning. Our major priority is literacy and improved pedagogies for literacy teaching and learning. The school motto of 'Achievement for All' is reflected in our broad range of learning programs.
Our wellbeing for learning priority is underpinned by the five core values of respect, responsibility, cooperation, caring and support. Our anti-harassment and bullying programs support students in developing positive relationships and we encourage parents to work in partnership with staff to ensure a safe place for their children to learn and play.
Students' achievements are also celebrated through our school reward program, 'Awesome Airdale'. A variety of alternative success orientated programs allows for personalised learning and includes technology, gardening, cooking, life-skills, and separate boys and girls groups for mainstream literacy and numeracy learning. Specific programs are established for students with special needs. We also have an Out of School Hours Care (OHSC) and vacation program.
